Full-time seasonal position, with opportunity for permanent placement. 

Duties

​Established in 1988, Smokey Hollow Estates is a community geared to those who are retired, thinking about retirement or just tired of the day-to-day tasks of their home.

Are you a hands-on, dependable individual who enjoys a variety of tasks and takes pride in keeping a community looking its best? Our welcoming 55+ retirement community is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. 
This role supports both homeowners and shared community spaces, helping maintain a safe, clean, and beautifully cared-for environment year-round. 

Key Responsibilities 
Grounds & Lawn Maintenance 
• Rake lawns and remove twigs/branches, weed whip and mow grass, trim trees and shrubs, clean eaves, roll lawns as needed 

Snow Removal (Seasonal) 
• Blow snow from walkways and driveways, shovel and clear entrances to ensure resident safety 

Home Maintenance 
• Address general minor repairs, assist homeowners with small tasks 

Public Building Maintenance 
• Sweep, wash, and wax floors, maintain and clean washrooms, pick up compost and garbage from designated areas 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative, works well both independently and as part of a team, and enjoys problem-solving. Most importantly, these individual values creating and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming atmosphere for our residents and is genuinely motivated to help others when needed.

Qualifications & Requirements 
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent 
• Valid G driver’s license 
• Comfortable working at heights (training provided) 
• Comfortable working in confined spaces 
• Physically capable of performing outdoor and manual tasks 
• Willingness to learn and expand duties 
• Strong team player with the ability to work independently 
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
