Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation (SNGRDC) is looking for a reliable, detail‑oriented Cook to support food service operations across our Nation Enterprise locations. If you enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment, take pride in food quality and safety, and value teamwork, this could be the role for you.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and serve menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and SOPs
- Ensure kitchens are clean, sanitized, and fully stocked before and after shifts
- Follow food safety, storage, and rotation procedures at all times
- Control food waste and assist with inventory and deliveries
- Support food service at bingo concessions, events, and catering functions
- Report equipment issues and recommend repairs or improvements
- Work collaboratively with team members during busy service periods
- Provide friendly, efficient service and address customer concerns when needed
Qualifications
What You Bring
- Secondary School Diploma
- Food preparation and/or food handling experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift medium‑weight items
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be 18 years of age or older and able to pass a Police Record Check
