Duties
Nerva Energy, located in Hamilton, Ontario, is looking for motivated, reliable, and hardworking individuals to join our team full-time as Ductwork Repair Technicians.
Nerva specializes in delivering unique property technology solutions to create high-performance, smart buildings.
In this role, you will focus on repairing and improving duct systems in commercial and residential buildings to optimize airflow and energy efficiency, while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments, and goals of the company. This is a hands-on position that requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. No HVAC license is required — we provide training to help you succeed.
Project Responsibilities:
· Repairing, sealing, and modifying ductwork in buildings.
· Prepare ductwork for aerosolized sealing process.
· Program, commission and operate the aerosolized Duct Sealing machine.
· Participate in project commissioning and quality assurance activities.
· Present to the project manager reports on progress as well as problems and solutions.
Competencies:
· Liaise with building operators, maintenance staff, and other contractors to ensure alignment.
· Suggest and implement changes when necessary to meet project outputs.
· Organize material as needed for projects.
· Maintains assigned tools and equipment in good operating condition - follow instructions, troubleshoot malfunctions, maintain supply levels, perform regular maintenance, and schedule needed repairs.
· Documents installation and service activities by completing forms, reports, logs, and records in paper form and through tracking software.

· Team-player, work well with and support fellow technicians in the field.
· Understand project scopes, goals, and deliverables; not afraid to ask questions.
· Follow directions by understanding tasks and required resources to implement projects.
· Provide independent effort where required to accomplish goals on time.
· Communicate effectively with project managers on deliverables and labour efforts.
· Maintain a high level of customer confidentiality.
· Follow all Health & Safety, Environmental, ESA, TSSA, Building Code, and other applicable regulations.
Education:
· Post-secondary education is considered an asset.
· Trade-related education is considered an asset.
· Trade-tickets (licenses) NOT required but will be considered an asset.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is NOT an apprenticeship position.
Eligibility
· Minimum 25 years of age, valid G Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
· Ability to pass a background check.
· Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces, on ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
· Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
· Willingness to travel and work a flexible schedule depending on project demands - this position may require you to be out of town for a week at a time, and possibly 2 weeks at a time (expenses paid), depending on the distance of the project location.
