Duties

Fen Industrial is your trusted partner for a wide array of industrial trade services. We specialize in machinery moving, rigging, installation of heavy equipment and industrial machinery, decommissioning, asset recovery, and sales of industrial automation equipment.

We are hiring full time Skilled Labourers. Duties Include:

  • Operate heavy equipment to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials
  •  Monitor and direct staff to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently and correctly.
  • Use hand and power tools to dismantle machinery
  • Perform tasks in accordance with safety guidelines and regulations
  • Handle materials and debris removal from decommissioning sites
  • Align, level, and anchor machinery and equipment
  • Assemble and install supporting structures, rigging, hoist, and pulling gear
  • Clean and dress machines and surfaces of parts
  • Control movements of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces

Qualifications

  • Must be flexible with your schedule, able to travel, and able to work overtime
  • Able to lift 75 lbs
  • Must have excellent mechanical reasoning
  • Experience operating hand tools and power tools to dismantle structures and machinery
  • Able to operate heavy equipment (forklifts, skid steers, scissor lifts etc) 
  • Excellent collaboration/communication skills; able to give and receive direction from others
  • Must possess a G class license and a reliable means of transportation to job sites within Southern Ontario
  • Ability to perform under stress when confronted with emergency, unusual or hazardous conditions and to lead others under such conditions
