Working Environment:
Temporary contract (2–3 months), 40 hours per week. Work is primarily based at the Armstrong Milling head office in Nelles Corners, ON.

Duties

Primary Responsibilities
  • Communicate with equipment vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes, place purchase orders, and receive goods, equipment, and supplies for maintenance, production, or SQF departments as directed
  • Create purchase orders, review delivery slips, and process invoices using the Epicor ERP system
  • Manage maintenance spare parts inventory using MaintainX, including data entry, labelling, photographing, storing parts, and updating inventory levels
  • Perform physical tasks such as breaking down boxes, climbing ladders, and lifting parts up to 50 lbs
  • Track and communicate all parts requested, ordered, and received across departments
  • Conduct monthly inventories of chemicals stored in the plant (paint room, maintenance shop, etc.)
  • Print and post monthly call-in schedules for maintenance personnel
  • Maintain inventory of plant radios
  • Generate invoice reports in Epicor to support month-end reporting deadlines
  • Liaise with the vending machine supplier to ensure proper maintenance and address employee concerns
  • Ensure compliance with SQF requirements and report food safety or quality concerns to the appropriate personnel
  • Support administrative duties, special projects, and vacation coverage as required
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Conduct safety orientation training for contractors and maintain training records
  • Direct contractors in the absence of maintenance leadership
  • Set up new vendors in Epicor and manage credit information
  • Arrange shipment of parts or equipment for repair or warranty
  • Track and submit mileage for maintenance employees
  • File documentation (permits, inspection reports, etc.) appropriately
  • Scan or obtain equipment manuals and maintain records on the server

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years of inventory control experience
  • High school diploma
  • ERP system experience (Epicor, MaintainX, etc.)
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Data entry experience
  • Ability to read manuals/schematics
