Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM


 

Duties

  • Diagnose and repair marine engines and systems (mechanical and electrical)
  • Inspect, test, and troubleshoot issues with outboard motors
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and service work
  • Read and interpret service manual
  • Install and rig marine components
  • Communicate diagnoses, repair needs, and cost estimates to Service Writer
  • Perform seasonal services (winterization, summarization, etc.)
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment


     

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Marine Technician or similar role
  • Experience working with outboards (Tohatsu, Mercury, Yamaha)
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Familiarity with small engines and marine power units
  • Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Must have reliable transportation to the marina
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Ontario
