Duties

What You’ll Do

Human Resources Administration

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and documentation
  • Support the full employee lifecycle including hiring, changes, and departures
  • Prepare employment letters, reports, and HR documents
  • Track and maintain compliance-related documentation

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Coordinate job postings, candidate screening, and interview scheduling
  • Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process
  • Facilitate onboarding, orientation, and new hire documentation
  • Ensure completion of pre-employment requirements

Payroll & Benefits Support

  • Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing and data accuracy
  • Maintain payroll records including changes and deductions
  • Support employee benefit enrollments and updates
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits

Health & Safety Support

  • Maintain health and safety records, training logs, and incident reports
  • Support workplace safety initiatives and compliance with OHSA
  • Assist with safety orientations and documentation tracking
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment

General HR & Team Support

  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries with professionalism and care
  • Assist with HR projects, reporting, and process improvements
  • Support internal communication and policy updates

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in HR, payroll, or administrative support
  • Knowledge of employment legislation (ESA, OHSA, Human Rights Code)
  • Experience with HR systems (HRIS/HRMS) and Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
