What You’ll Do
Facilities Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of facilities, ensuring buildings remain safe, clean, functional, and well maintained
- Coordinate preventative maintenance, repairs, housekeeping, landscaping, and waste management
- Conduct inspections and ensure building systems and services operate efficiently and reliably
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Supervise, schedule, and support facilities staff while promoting safe work practices
- Act as a key point of contact for staff, tenants, contractors, and management to resolve facility needs
- Support training, performance expectations, and team development
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, accessibility, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain safety documentation, coordinate emergency procedures, and support corrective actions
- Promote a culture of safety across all facilities and stakeholders
Project, Budget & Contract Management
- Develop and manage operating and capital budgets, tracking expenses and identifying variances
- Lead facility-related capital projects including planning, budgeting, and execution
- Coordinate and oversee contractors and vendors, ensuring work meets quality, safety, and budget expectations
Leasing & Space Management
- Manage lease administration including renewals, amendments, and compliance tracking
- Monitor space utilization and support operational planning for facility needs
Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records for facilities, projects, and compliance activities
Prepare reports, operational updates, and documentation for leadership
Qualifications
What You Bring
- Post-secondary education in Business, Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management, property management, or related operations
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and Health & Safety requirements
- Experience with budgeting, capital planning, and contractor/vendor management
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage teams and multiple priorities
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management
