Full-time, 37.5 hours/week Primarily Monday–Friday daytime, with at least one evening per week and flexibility based on program needs.
Duties
As the Manager, Bed-Based Addictions Treatment Services, you will provide leadership across our day and bed-based treatment programs, which include 11 beds for individuals who identify as male and 10 for individuals who identify as female. Working collaboratively with a fellow Manager that oversees Withdrawal Management, you will ensure high-quality client care, effective program operations, and strong supervision of supervisors and frontline staff.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in 24/7 residential addiction programs who thrives in a dynamic environment. While your primary responsibilities are leadership and oversight, this is not a desk job — our leadership team works alongside staff to support individuals with complex needs related to substance use, mental health, and social determinants of health.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with fellow leaders to ensure effective functioning across the Withdrawal Management & Treatment Services portfolio
- Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and performance management to supervisors and frontline staff
- Participate in HR processes including recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding
- Work with the Clinical Lead to advance evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment practices
- Develop program content and participate in evaluation and continuous quality improvement
- Oversee case management functions and ensure high-quality client support
- Conduct audits to ensure accuracy of client files, identify data quality issues, and support Ministry reporting
- Monitor adherence to agency and program policies
- Ensure health and safety standards are met to support safe facility operations
- Provide input into program budgets and monitor adherence
- Build and maintain internal and external partnerships to support coordinated care
- Collaborate across the Addictions & Mental Health leadership team to support departmental functioning
Qualifications
- College diploma in Human/Social Services; university degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a related field
- Registration in good standing with a professional regulatory body (e.g., OCSWSSW, CRPO)
- Knowledge of addiction treatment approaches including CBT, DBT, and MI
- Understanding of concurrent disorders and social determinants of health
- Ability to navigate complex community partnerships
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work in an environment with exposure to direct and vicarious trauma
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and client record systems (EMHware an asset)
- Access to reliable transportation
Eligibility
Authorized to work in Canada.
Start date: as soon as possible/vacant position
Contract length: 15 months (MAT leave)
