Funded by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development, Employment Ontario services are available to assist both job seekers and employers – and we’re looking for someone like you to make a difference.
As a permanent Full Time Employment Consultant, you’ll play a key role in guiding individuals toward their career goals and connecting them with the right opportunities. Your day-to-day will include:
- Building strong relationships with clients and employers
- Assessing employment and training needs, and developing personalized Service Plans
- Facilitating engaging workshops and providing one-on-one support
- Managing case files and completing required documentation
- Collaborating with local training providers and community partners
- Coordinating job placements and advocating for client success
Qualifications
- Have a College Diploma in a Human/Social Services or Business field, with a Career Practitioner/Job Development certificate an asset
- Have a minimum 1-year experience in a related field
- Be proficient in MS Office and be familiar with databases
- Access to reliable transportation, as some travel may be required
- Ability to manage exposure to vicarious traumatic stress
