Full-time Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week (8:00am-4:00pm)

Duties

Are you passionate about supporting individuals with concurrent substance use and mental health needs on their recovery journey? As a Concurrent Disorders Clinician (CDC) within our Withdrawal Management and Treatment Services (WMTS) portfolio, you will play a key therapeutic role in our gender-specific 5-week treatment programs.

Working as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team, you will primarily lead group therapeutic programming while also providing individual counselling, supporting individualized service planning, and facilitating smooth transitions back to the community. This bed-based environment offers a unique opportunity to build strong therapeutic relationships and support meaningful client outcomes.

What You’ll Do
  • Deliver group therapeutic programming to support client skill development and recovery
  • Provide individual counselling using evidence-informed approaches
  • Utilize modalities such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Motivational Interviewing (MI), and other best practices
  • Teach skills including emotion regulation, anger management, problem-solving, and coping strategies
  • Develop and support strengths-based individualized service plans using standardized assessment tools
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure coordinated care and smooth client transitions
  • Support clients to be successful within a congregate living treatment environment 
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in the client data system
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, respectful, and therapeutic program environment

Qualifications

  • College diploma in Human or Social Services required; university degree in a related Social Sciences field preferred
  • Current registration and good standing with a professional governing body (e.g., CRPO, OCSWSSW) required
  • Minimum 2 years combined education/experience in substance use, concurrent disorders, and/or mental health clinical settings
  • Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-informed therapeutic modalities (CBT, DBT, MI, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with electronic client databases
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Ability to manage exposure to vicarious trauma and maintain appropriate self-care
